"Once again the Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge is well and truly over, this post was originally posted here, on the 18th March and I've still got a lot of catching up to do with other Challenge posts."
Ray
Well, it wouldn't be a proper Painting Challenge with one of my Donnybrook entries now would it?
So just to keep you all happy.....here's one!!!

My green coated Polish Dragoons were prepped and undercoated at the start of Challenge 12 in 2021!!!
Isn't that bad that its taken me until now to put some paint on them?

My 9 Polish Dragoons, painted up for my Donnybrook Allied Army for the Relief of Vienna in 1683.
Check out my last post from March 2022, where I painted some Polish Command figures.
The figures are from Reiver Castings and were a joy to paint.
I'll be using the chap in the centre holding his pistol in the air as their Commander.
These 9 figures will give me 90 points.
Then we also have the dismounted version of the Dragoons.
Unfortunately at the time Reiver didn't have a dismounted Polish Dragoon figure, (not sure if they ever did get them made?)
So I had to fall back to my old favourites, Essex Miniatures.
As you can see, my leader is wearing a clock on the dismounted version and not on the mounted version.
I could have sculpted a cloak on the mounted version, but couldn't be arsed!!!

Polish Dragoons!! Lovely 😍

DeleteSuperb work Ray! Honestly, I am trying to avoid diving into the Vienna campaign as I do not need another micro period - it's not working :) Essex and Reiver always look good :)

ReplyDeleteThanks Alex!
DeleteLovely job. The dragoons prepped in 2021 and just painted now - very funny :-)
ReplyDeleteTerrible ah, Norm....I had the brush tbe dust off them!
DeleteIt was well worth the wait and I'm sure they appreciated the attention. Very nicely done.
ReplyDeleteThey did look pleased?
DeleteThe one in the middle almost looks like he's about to break out in song and dance. lol.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think he'd sing, Whisk?
DeleteNice, if very delayed, work Ray!

DeleteI like that you've painted the horses with white socks and blazes on the head. Not everyone bothers. Yes, I've got my Salute ticket and will see you there.
ReplyDeleteThey look great Ray.
ReplyDeleteAnd maybe the leader is using his cloak as a saddle blanket while he rides 😁
