I do really like corned beef. In a sandwich with Branston pickle and a few Lettuce leaves....Yuum!
On the other hand I do not like corned beef, because at the moment, that's what my leg looks like!
For the second time this year, I'm laying feeling very sorry for myself in a hospital bed, this time suffering from Cellulitis and Sepsis.
I'm being looked after very well being pumped full of antibiotics and painkillers.
Happy Days!
All this mess started on Friday, so I didn't even get to go to Colours!!!
What a miserable bloody week!
oh well, at least I'm still breathing enough to moan about it.
Ray
Get well soon Ray
ReplyDeleteCheers Neil!
DeleteRay, did this prevent you from attending Colours? Hope you are back on your feet and out of hospital soon, buddy.
ReplyDeleteYes, I never made it to Colours....booo!
DeleteTake care of yourself Ray!
ReplyDeleteThanks Peter.
DeleteHope you are back fit and well soon Ray, what a bummer to happen just before the show, take care and get well soon.
ReplyDeleteIf I didn't feel so rough, I would have felt cheesed off.
DeleteSo sorry to hear that Ray! I didn't notice the Rejects at the show or yourself and now know why. Get well soon old chap.
ReplyDeleteThanks Steve. I was the designated driver, so Postie & Steve decided to not go. Hopefully we'll all be going to Partizan next month???
DeleteBloody hell Ray? Sad to hear this. Keep your chin up mate and get yourself better.
ReplyDeleteI'll try my best, thanks Steve.
DeleteRay, very unpleasant, you are putting on a brave face. Wishing you a speedy recovery, best wishes Norm.
ReplyDeleteThanks Norm.
DeletePlease take are of yourself and get better
ReplyDeleteI'll do my very best, thanks!
DeleteGood grief Ray - very sorry to hear about this. Hope you are on the mend soon. You are in the best place for it, anyway. Fresh dressings and Branston every morning? Take care, my man - nasty.
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you Sir!
DeleteI wish you a very good recovery Ray! Get well soon!
ReplyDeleteDon't know for sure but I guess you're getting old! ;-D
Greetings
Peter
Yep I am getting on a bit.....56 years young!

ReplyDeleteThanks Alex.
DeleteNuts Ray, get better soon mate
ReplyDeleteCheers Carl.
DeleteWow, you have certainly had a rough time of it health wise recently Ray....hope your leg is back to normal soon and this is the last of your hospital visits for a while!
ReplyDeleteI do hope so. I've been ordered on a mega health kick from the Mrs and 4 daughters, I've had the Gesptapo talk!
DeleteThat's a bugger, hope you get well soon Ray
ReplyDeleteThanks !
DeleteBest Wishes for a full and speedy recovery Ray!
ReplyDeleteThanks David.
DeleteFFS. Look after yourself and get well soon

ReplyDeleteCheers Matt.
DeleteGet well soon mate…
ReplyDeleteI suppose this means your going to miss your appearance on Strictly Come Dancing…😁
All the best. Aly
Unfortunately you are correct Aly. But I've given them your name as a suitable replacement 8o)
DeleteBad timing, and we will miss your photos of Colours as they are always something to look forward to. Get well soon Ray.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lawrence.
DeleteWishing you a speedy recovery old chap! Hopefully see you at the other Partizan!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed?
DeleteThat's no good Ray. Did you suffer from a bite or a fall (or something else)? Hopefully the antibiotics clear it up quick smart! (Much more convenient than sawing the offending limb off! :) )
ReplyDeleteRegards, James
I dig have a little cut. They think the infection started there. And no talk of limb loss. I wouldn't make a good pirate!
DeleteI am pleased to hear *that*—it was only meant to be an attempt at humour, not a suggested outcome!!! :()
DeleteI took at just as that, no worries James.
DeleteTerrible news, Ray. At least it sounds as if you 're being well cared for. Best wishes for a positive outcome. Do keep us informed!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ed.
DeleteRest is a good thing for now. Wait until the meds run out, then you can get antsy. There is always the next con.
ReplyDeleteAmen to that!
DeleteSo sorry to hear this, Ray, hope you are on the mend ok. Glad you are keeping cheerful at least!
ReplyDelete( maybe lay off the corned beef though : 'you are what you eat" 😀 )
According to Mrs R, I'll be a sald from now on then.
DeleteSorry to read about this Ray.
ReplyDeleteI know all about cellulitis as my father suffers from it - Untreated cut on his leg whilst gardening went bad, he became seriously ill, eventually hospitalised for a fortnight. It has flared up once since then, resulting in him having to go to hospital. Another flare up was caught before it got serious, with medication being enough to treat it at home. Definitely a nasty and painful thing is cellulitis.
Wishing you as easy and painless recovery as possible.
It is a nasty thing for sure. Think I'm lucky though, they said they caught it early nit 10 minutes ago.
DeleteTake care Ray. It sounds like you are on the mend, I certainly hope so!
ReplyDeleteThanks Shaun.
DeleteOuch! Get well soon, Ray.
ReplyDeleteCheers Simon.
DeleteWishing you a swift recovery mate, thank goodness for the NHS
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely!
DeleteDarn bad luck Ray! Hope things get better soon.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed Mike.
DeleteVery sorry to hear that, Ray. Hope you have a rapid recovery - and also that you have enough to keep you distracted and entertained whilst in hospital... Nasty persistent thing, cellulitis. Had an uncle who had it for years. But he did not look after himself, as I am sure you do!
ReplyDeleteThanks David. I'm out of hospital now but still not discharged. It's gonna be a long road.
DeleteGet well soon Ray, on a positive plenty of reading time for future projects.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Stu
Amen to that Stuart.
DeleteOh dear Ray I do hope you recovery goes well. I love corned beef too but you may have put me off 🤔
ReplyDeleteLol, sorry Matt!
DeleteHi Ray and welcome to the Cellulitis Club ( I had it two years back and Big Lee last year I believe), it's bloody painful! Sepsis more serious of course but the powerful antibiotics will do their job. Wishing you well soon.
ReplyDeleteLee.
Like you said, it's not very nice and bloody painful, Lee. On the mend though, thanks.
DeleteHopefully meds will have you back upright asap, double dunter not good
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed!
DeleteBloody hell Ray . Get better soon
ReplyDeleteCheers Dave, will do!
DeleteDear me Ray, that sound serious. Take care and get well soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks OB.
DeleteI feel for you Ray. I have a relative that suffers from this quite frequently snd I know how disabling it is. And as for hospitals....I spent ten days in one early this year - not something I am keen to do again any time soon!
ReplyDeleteTell me about it. I was in for 11 days in Jan-Feb and now another 4 days. I'll get my own parking space soon?
DeleteSo sorry to hear about your condition, Ray. Prayers for your speedy and full recovery!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dean.
DeleteSorry you are down in the dumps Ray. Hope you get better soon and back to eating corned-beef sandwiches. Better with tomato, though,
ReplyDeleteLol. Pickle all the way!
DeleteTerrible news, I hope you are recovering well, think you've put me off my lunch!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Sorry about that Iain. Nothing would put me off of corned beef, not even my leg!
