Corned Beef Leg

I do really like corned beef. In a sandwich with Branston pickle and a few Lettuce leaves....Yuum!

On the other hand I do not like corned beef, because at the moment, that's what my leg looks like!

For the second time this year,  I'm laying feeling very sorry for myself in a hospital bed, this time suffering from Cellulitis and Sepsis.

I'm being looked after very well being pumped full of antibiotics and painkillers.

Happy Days!

All this mess started on Friday, so I didn't even get to go to Colours!!!

What a miserable bloody week!

oh well, at least I'm still breathing enough to moan about it.

Ray

  19. That's no good Ray. Did you suffer from a bite or a fall (or something else)? Hopefully the antibiotics clear it up quick smart! (Much more convenient than sawing the offending limb off! :) )

  23. Sorry to read about this Ray.

I know all about cellulitis as my father suffers from it - Untreated cut on his leg whilst gardening went bad, he became seriously ill, eventually hospitalised for a fortnight. It has flared up once since then, resulting in him having to go to hospital. Another flare up was caught before it got serious, with medication being enough to treat it at home. Definitely a nasty and painful thing is cellulitis.

Wishing you as easy and painless recovery as possible.

  27. Very sorry to hear that, Ray. Hope you have a rapid recovery - and also that you have enough to keep you distracted and entertained whilst in hospital... Nasty persistent thing, cellulitis. Had an uncle who had it for years. But he did not look after himself, as I am sure you do!

  30. Hi Ray and welcome to the Cellulitis Club ( I had it two years back and Big Lee last year I believe), it's bloody painful! Sepsis more serious of course but the powerful antibiotics will do their job. Wishing you well soon.
