Partizan Loot!!!

After taking all the photos of Partizan, I didn't get much time to spend my hard earned dosh, but I gave it a bloody good go!

Above you can see, some wagons and loads from Warbases, some Bolt Action dice that I picked up from the Market, Draft horses from Iron Gate Studios and couple of tents and horses again from the market and finally a set of counters for Sharp Practice that Rich Clarke gave me and Lee for free!!!!

Magnetic bases and sheets from Coritani, I wish I'd magnetized my Retreat from Moscow figures beforehand, but I'll be sticking these under there bases and I'll no doubt heed a million more!

Finally and my first purchase of the day. Musket and Tomahawks and the supplement Shako's & Bayonets, just incase me and Lee totally break Sharp Practice??

Retreat from Moscow - Naked trees!

 

I had a nice little box turn up at work, not at home for obvious reason!! I might look daft, but I'm not that daft! 

At The Other Partizan last month I ordered 20 trees from the Tree Fella

Which duly arrived not 10 minutes ago. Just gotta base them up and add a little bit of the white stuff to snowify them up! Me and Lee are supposed to be meeting up and getting some terrain stuff sorted, whenever that'll be???

Retreat from Moscow - Trees

Both me and Lee are still trying to get our Retreat from Moscow shenanigans to a point where we can put on a game. I've been buying trees.....loads of 'em! We do plan to have a day where we can work on the trees, but I thought I'd get a quick head start.

Back in June, regular readers may recall, me and Lee had a mega terrain day and snowified loads of terrain, including some sabot tree bases, (easy storage). So it was about time we filled some of those bases.

As I said, I've been buying whole forests of trees from ebay, Temu and other sources including these. They were the easiest to get to, to be honest as they were purchased at The Other Partizan a few weekends ago. The 2 greener trees are from the Tree Fella, my plan was to buy loads of his trees, but he only had 2!!! I need to get back to hm as he was supposed to be making us more? 

The others are from the most excellent, The Last Valley, the trees were glued to a 70mm round base and given our usual snow effect. 

I experimented how to put the snow on the trees, this time I made up the snow, very wet and dabbed in over the trees, mainly on the raised areas. It was very messy as the branches flicked the snow everywhere, with very little actually staying on the trees!! Groan!

With the next small batch the plan is to spray the trees with either watered down PVA or spray glue and sprinkle the dry snow powder over.

Well, that's the plan at the moment anyway???
