I can't actually say how much I love this show, its got everything a historical gamer wants, loads of fantastic games, both big and small, loads of big tables full of figures and loads of great manufacturers and suppliers. If you've never made it to a Partizan show, please do, you won't regret it one bit.
For the Rejects its a 2 hour 30 minute drive, so a very early start and a late finish to, I got home at 7.30, completely exhausted but still buzzing. We stopped for a great fry up at a Beefeater not to far away from Newark Showground, like we usually do, then headed up the road and was in the show by 10.15, then the real fun started!
There were only 3 Posties Rejects this time round, Lee, Postie and myself
I think next time we'll pre book entry tickets, just to save a little time queuing.
Now I must apologise, I did miss a few games, my phone died before I fully got round the show, even after charging it in the middle of the day.

The Iranian Embassy Siege was quite unique. The League of Extraordinary Kriergspeliers was just amazing.
ReplyDeletePre tickets sounds like a good idea. Here, most events are cheaper if you buy in advance.
Both games we're brilliant, The Iranian Embassy Siege, won an award, Best of Show I think it was? Defo prebook tickets. The queue was rather long!
DeleteSuperb photos, Ray. I'm going to have to look through these again but more slowly later with a cup of tea... it'll be worth it. Glad you enjoyed your day.
ReplyDeleteIt will take a while to go through, better make a sandwich as well!
DeleteAlways look forward to your show reports Ray, so many lovely pictures to pore over and so much inspiration to take, some really top class games on show.
ReplyDeleteThat's what its all for Donnie, to look admire and try your best to copy an idea or two?
DeleteReally a tour de force of the show, Ray! You must be exhausted. Great photo tour. Doubly good to see to see a few faces from fellow bloggers.
ReplyDeleteThe show was exhausting and so was making this post. And yes, great to see some blogger faces too.
DeleteAwesome report Ray.
ReplyDeleteThanks George!
DeleteA ton of work getting that together … thank you. Partizan is always good, this one was very good.
ReplyDeleteAgreed Norm, it was a brilliant show.
DeleteThis is a great photo shoot of the show and makes me feel as if I were there. So many good looking games that it's a shame that "best of show" types of awards are given out because there are so many games that are worthy of the honor.
ReplyDeleteI agree, It's always hard trying to choose your favourites at Partizan, there's so much eye candy everywhere you look.
DeleteThanks Ray . Best show going for me by miles . Good to catch up,with ya !
ReplyDeleteIt was great to have a face to face chat once again, Dave.
DeleteThe effort you put into these summaries are always appreciated Ray. Great stuff.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed the post Lawrence.
DeleteThanks, Ray. I was really looking forward to your report.
ReplyDeleteNo problem, I glad you liked the post.
DeleteSo many superb looking games
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't like to be on the committee to choose the awards?
DeleteSome amazing games and tables on display here, looks like a really good time!
ReplyDeleteOh it was a brilliant day out and always is at Partizan.
DeleteExcellent collection of photos, I always miss stuff! Good to see you!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Its very easy to miss a game or two when waking round, I often see photos on other blogs and don't recognise the game on show?
DeleteGreat photos and great games Ray!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cyrus, glad you enjoyed the post.
DeleteWow, some absolutely superb games on display
ReplyDeleteTotally agree, Neil!
DeleteWhat a fantastic photo reporting Ray!
ReplyDeleteAnother wargaming show I have to attend in the future.
Yes, you gotta come along, Michal!
DeleteLots of great looking games Ray - I understand why you liked the "linear warfare" game (SYW?) but I might plump for the Relief of Lucknow - its a hard choice though - lots of other fantastic tables too!
ReplyDeleteIt is a great looking game, there was so much going on in every 12 inches of the table.
DeleteYou really should come to Hereward - it's a shorter drive!
ReplyDeleteWe were thinking about it Mike.
DeleteHow about a blog meet-up? :D :D
DeleteWe should!
DeleteArrange it, and we'll make sure it's on the Hereward site and handout so folks know when it is :D
DeleteI'll do that at the next show.
DeleteA really comprehensive coverage of the games there Ray. Our paths never crossed it seems, no doubt due to the crowds.
ReplyDeleteIt was very busy, perhaps we should have a Blog Meet up? We do that at Salute.
DeleteWow you did take a lot of photos I may come back to look at a couple of bits I missed 👍good to catch up on the day
ReplyDeleteI took a lot more than I usually do Matt, there were so many good games everywhere you looked! And yes, great to catch up!
DeleteGreat report Ray.
ReplyDeleteHope to see you there in October when I will check the dates before booking a vacation this time!
Oh dear! Yep hopefully see you in October?
DeleteI can't even imagine how long it took to select the photos, upload them, and put the text in on this post...wow!
ReplyDeleteIt must have taken around 4 hours to post! I must be crackers!
DeleteRay, thanks so much for all the photos and the effort to post them as well. So much to see there.
ReplyDeleteNo problem, Ben.
DeleteIncredible games for sure! Sure wish I could have gone.
ReplyDeleteMaybe The Other Partizan in October?
DeleteAn epic posting. Took me an hour at least expanding the photos and having a good look. One thing I seem to need is more building!
ReplyDeleteYou can never have enough buildings, can you?
DeleteHello Ray,
ReplyDeleteI admire the dedication you put into the show reports, and envy that you get to spend so much time at them all! Thank you for all the time you put into into these posts and enjoyed thoroughly your trip around Partizan.
Thanks Shaun, they are hard work, I must admit, But I like to share the love!
DeleteThank you Ray, that was an incredible feast of games and nice to see some faces I know from the blogs. Greatly appreciate your putting this together. So many lovely games but that SYW game was so good! Wow.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Mike P
The 7YW game was the nuts!!
DeleteHats off to you Ray, reading and viewing this almost felt like being there!
ReplyDeleteThat's the plan!
DeleteExcellent show Rep Ray. Really enjoyed the bounce through all them pictures. BTW, do you and Lee know everyone? :>)
ReplyDeleteIt seems that way doesn't it? lol!
DeleteLOL Yep. I missed you both though- despite us usually colliding at the Foundry stall :>)
DeleteI did expect to bump into you during the show? Maybe in October?
DeleteYep, will bells on mate. It's the one show of the year that, if possible, is an absolute must.
Delete100%!
DeleteWow! Partizan really does seem like the show to go to if you want to see amazing tables. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteIts an amazing show, perhaps we'll see you at the October show?
DeleteAh probably not - I'm on a distant continent lol. One day though...
DeleteBloody hell Ray that's a load of great photos - was good to see you
ReplyDeleteYeh, good to meet up again Kerry.
DeleteHi Ray, I did not realise how many analogue-ers were there - anyway despite being there most of the day your photo shoot has allowed me another tour and no surprise you showed me a lot of detail I missed. Thanks for sharing.
