Retreat from Moscow - Scatter Terrain

My first "New Stuff" painted in the new house, just so happens to be some scatter terrain, for my and Lee's Retreat from Moscow shenanigans.

All these 3D printed items come from Temu, they're not the best I've seen, but paint up well.

I'm not sure what's in the crates, but I'm pretty certain its not warm clothes or food.

They were very cheap, only costing £4 for the lot, so i can't complain.

Wine or Vodka barrels? What do you think?

Got some wagons coming up next, just gotta add a little snow........

  3. Vodka. What else would they be guarding?
Cheap quality from Temu is no surprise.

  4. They look fantastic, Ray and very fitting for your Retreat From Moscow project. Keep these posts coming, as they keep me going whenever I believe I've seen painted one too many of my own Napoleonic era figures. LOL!!

  6. Nice start in the new digs. And of course, "Winter is coming" (couldn't help it).

  8. Temu can be quite hit and miss I have found, but you have done a great job painting these up Ray.

  9. Very nice although those wooden bits and bobs likely to become firewood very shortly :-)

  10. Great scatter terrain and the story is already enhanced. Wine or vodka in the barrels? Only open barrels will tell.

    1. They'd probably have to chip whatever in the barrels out. It'd make nice ice cubes though?

  12. Handy additions. May I humbly suggest that you take a look at the broken down carts - scatter terrain - at Alternative Armies for there Deadloque range [the "Retreat from Moscow" version of Flintloque]. The figures are larger than Perry so unfortunately don't blend well but I don't think that would matter with the resin carts which already have snow on the bases. I bought and painted them and was happy with the results. Just a suggestion.

    1. Thanks Stephen, I've never seen this range before, and you're right the cart looks perfect, an order has been placed!
If only the range was a little less fantasy I'd buy a lot more.

  15. Whilst the quality might be up to scratch, they look prefectly good as scatter terrain and when based up together, as shown here. Excellent work!
