A joint effort from me and Postie, I painted them and Postie cleaned, undercoated and based them! I'm not sure of their make, anyone know??
These are an ongoing painting project for Battleaxe, for a nice chap called Matt. He's given us a few more to paint up and sounds like he'll be buying some French too!!
These are the third lot of photos I've taken of these Brits, the first lot I accidentally deleted from my camera and I couldn't use the rest because they were rubbish, I'm afraid these are the best pics from a bad bunch.
The figures were a joy to paint, lots of detail and lots of raised edges for highlighting. Although I kept the highlights pretty subtle as they should be rather drab looking uniforms.
To all me fellow Analouge Painting Challenge comrades, you'll be happy to know, I've been slaving away gluing figures to horses and sticks ready for the 15th, its getting on my nerves now though, I've got approx 200 15mm figures in front of me and I can't paint them.............yet!
And lastly a bit of good news, my Secret Santa pressie arrived in the post the other day? Wonder what's in the box!!!!
WWI soldeirs and not a sandbag in sight... hmmm
ReplyDeleteI should also add...very nice work mate. These look excellent.
DeletePMSL..
DeleteThats so true, lol
DeleteDon't know what you horrid chaps mean?????
DeleteNice job, Ray!
ReplyDeleteYou mean you haven't opened the box yet?
Budgie smugglers perhaps?
DeleteGotta admit I am tempted, but it'll have to wait for Christmas I'm afraid!!!
DeleteOoh, very nice. I recognise that officer as a Musketeer chap. Lovely little models.
ReplyDeleteAh Musketeer!!
DeleteYou're fooling nobody you cheating bollox!
ReplyDelete"It's Not cheating if you are only doing it to win!"
DeleteClint, I'd like to see you beat Rousell this year. You're such a nice man, they'd never suspect you of sandbagging. You could get away with it and smash the Badger!
Delete+1
DeleteWhat you on about now Francine?????
DeleteAnne. I am not going to do any tricks or tactics. I am just going to paint and hope with fingers crossed.
DeleteI think the figures are "Renegade Miniatures" but hard to be totally sure with seeing them in person. Nice job though.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the challenge.
Musketeer......Renegade????/ Who knows, not me that's for sure!
DeleteNice work.
ReplyDeleteCheers Irqan!
DeleteExcellent!
ReplyDeleteCheers Phil!
DeleteActually they are from the Musketeer Miniatures range. Really lovely sculpts and the two of you have done a great job with them. Well done!
ReplyDelete...and apparently you still can't spell 'analogue' to save your life... :)
That's 2 for Musketeer and 1 for Renegade. Why couldn't the Challenge be called something that's easy to spell?????
DeleteThey look great Ray, both the uniforms and the basing are brilliant.
ReplyDeleteJohn
Thanks John, glad you liked them.
DeleteFine modeling, Ray. These troops really do look fantastic.
ReplyDeleteCheers Jay!
DeleteGood work Ray...and Postie... :-)
ReplyDeleteMarzio.
Thanks Marzio!!!
DeleteNice to see you and Postie getting a good project. It will help you fund figures for the Challenge!
ReplyDeleteI don't really need any new figures Anne, I've got 10 ton of unpainted crap in the shed already!
DeleteGreat looking Force Ray.
ReplyDeleteCheers Brum!
DeleteNice paint job and great figures love the machine gun sets
ReplyDeleteThanks Vince!
DeleteI do particularly like the MG team...but they are all nice... Damn it that might be another distraction for next year....
ReplyDeleteTemptation is an evil thing Dave!!!!

ReplyDeletePoxy blogspot, every time I answer a bloody comment, its posted at the bottom of the list aaaaarrrrggggghhhh!
ReplyDeleteThat happened to me last week on Pat's page. It's another of Blogger current bugs.
DeleteI'll take the bottom from ya then! Excellent figures, Ray! I really like these, I'll have to ask SWMBO if I can plot another project. I already have a trench board afterall... ;)
ReplyDeleteVery nice work on these guys!
ReplyDeleteChristopher
Best I can tell they are mostly musketeer. Perhaps a couple of Great War (the guy marching) and the officer with the stick is either Great war or renegade. If he's renegade he would be the biggest of the lot
ReplyDeleteMusketeer are smaller and elegant. Great war in the middle. Renegade hefty Very nice painting
Not sure of the make, but they look great, Ray. Nice!
ReplyDeleteNice work!
ReplyDeleteAlways loved the British uniforms for this part of WWI and you have done them justice!
tres beau !
ReplyDeleteLovely paintwork on these guys Ray! Postie's basing is pretty damn good too!
ReplyDeleteExcellent unit, Ray !
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way that sounds like a perfect synergy between you and postie. I would whish to have one to clean the models for me... ;-)
Cheers
Stefan

ReplyDeleteIt looks like they're going to a picnic and not to a battle!
Greetings
