Catching up with units entered into the
Analouge Painting Challenge again, these 4 units of Japanese Cavalry for the Russo-Japanese War, earned me 288 points to add to my tally. The figures are all from Irregular miniatures and are based up for the Franco-Prussian set of rules "They Died For Glory".

Really nice units, great painting...with a preference for the 4th regiment!
ReplyDeleteDammit Ray, I thought I was the only blogger in our little island that had been up long enough to post at this time in the morning!
ReplyDeleteLovely unit. That Army must be getting huge by now.
Very nice Ray; you must have some sort of 'loyalty' arrangement with Irregular Miniatures, especially given the amount of lead that you have bought from them! Amazing.
ReplyDeleteYou'd think so, wouldn't you????
DeleteExcellent paintwork. Never bothered much with Irregular except for baggage items, may give them another look as they seem to paint up well.
ReplyDeleteThey're not the best figures out there but they've quite an unusual range, well worth a look.
Deletewell done. I like the figs. so ray how much longer can we expect to see more of the entrees for analog???
ReplyDeleteI reckon I can drag it out another couple of weeks?????
DeleteThey look great Ray!
ReplyDeleteThey look awesome! Great job!
ReplyDeleteExcellent work Ray :)
ReplyDeleteVery well done Ray.
ReplyDeleteThats an impressive quantity of Cavalry, love the Rising Sun Flags!
ReplyDeleteExcellent work, Ray. However, your bed called and it never sees you anymore! SLEEP!
ReplyDeleteNice paint job, but I didn't care for the sculpts on these.
ReplyDeleteMan, you are really pumping stuff out - how do you maintain this rate of production without burn-out?
ReplyDeleteOh... very nice Cav, and the basing is sweet too.
ReplyDeleteHi, Ray, great job! Take a break b4 you flame out!
ReplyDeleteI think it's an automatic good job when I see the first picture and Rage Against the Machines starts playing in my head.
ReplyDeleteI just realized that with all those figures you painted for the competition you must have enough material for a years worth of posts. Do your flags really have that wave in them or have you made it look like that by creating an optical illusion?
ReplyDeleteI've got enough for at least another week and a bit...I think???? The flags have been bent slightly to give them a wave effect.
DeleteThen you better start painting again Ray!!
DeleteYou have a legion of them, Ray.
ReplyDeleteThese are very nice painted models, a great collection.
Jap cavalry an interesting and different subject indeed. More great brushwork
ReplyDeleteGreat figures Ray!! you got any history on the Jap cavalry
ReplyDeleteNot much, most is what I found online, Posties got a few books though.
DeleteLooking gooood.
ReplyDeleteGreat units Ray, Love the flags as well. More of your own?
ReplyDeleteYes and no, I found some images online and with a little bit of magic changed them to what Postie wanted.
DeleteInteresting period to game & great looking figs!
ReplyDeleteGreat work, Ray. That's just bonkers how many figures you've done for this period. Looking forward to some batreps when you get them on the table.
ReplyDeleteChecking in since last week and I missed 5 posts..You paint faster than I can keep up enjoying them. Great stuff Ray!
ReplyDeletesome serious looking units
ReplyDeleteLooks great and really enjoyed the theme in the challenge.
ReplyDeleteChristopher
