The day after Salute some of The Rejects are getting together for a ACW game. We invited Curt from Analogue Hobbies and Dallas from Fawcett Avenue Conscripts, to come and join in the fun, as they were both over in the UK on their holiday and of course to visit Salute.
Unfortunately I had an email from Curt saying Dallas now can't make the game !
This caused a little problem, Postie has spent the last couple of days setting the game up for 6 people, so a frantic hour or two went by before one of them lightbulb moments occurred.
I'd arranged last week to meet up with a certain chap, at Salute, who I won a prize from in a competition 2 weeks ago, so a quick call and we've got our Sebstitute for Sunday.
Nice table setup, Ray. The fencing is looking good.
ReplyDeleteGod bless Postie; he really looks after you boys!
ReplyDeleteHe's a Saint, he's gotta be for putting up with me and Fran!!!
DeleteHere is my advice for the game, "Get close and roll good dice!"
ReplyDeleteAnd remember, do as I say, not as I do.
Have fun.
You forgot "Don't throw a 1"
DeleteGlad to hear it all worked out finding that extra player! It can always be a bummer when your a man short!
ReplyDeleteWe could have re worked it, but I'm very glad Seb's stepped in at the last minute!!
DeleteLooking forward to meeting you guys on Saturday, and hope Seb survives the Rejects on Sunday! :)
ReplyDeleteLikewise!!! Poor Seb really doesn't know what he's in for???
DeleteI might have an idea...
DeleteCheers
well done postie. now you all need to be nice and not thrash them badly or get thrashed yourselves
ReplyDeleteI expect a full detailed report of (1) Salute and (2) the ACW game on Monday please.....
ReplyDeleteYou realise how lucky you are in getting 2 consecutive days of wargaming? Mrs K would never put up with that!
You guys are going to have a great weekend Ray. Salute and a game. It doesn't get much better than that. Enjoy yourself!!
ReplyDeleteNice quick thinking!
ReplyDeleteAll is saved. Great looking game and I hoe you have a great day at Salute and good day's gaming following.
ReplyDeleteClose one!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy it boys, enjoy
ReplyDeleteIan
Good to hear, I'll stick his name on the pot then!
ReplyDeleteJust try to get my name right :P
DeleteWill he (your substitute general) earn his Marshal's Baton for replacing Marshal Ouidinot who was wounded scouting positions before the battle?
ReplyDeleteOops sorry Napoleonics on the Brain - guess that would be Johnston at Shiloh or Jackson at Chancelorsville.
ReplyDeleteA full weekend of it, you lucky man.
ReplyDeleteVery nice looking game!
ReplyDeleteenjoy weekend :)
