I've been busy prepping all kinds of figures for the up and coming 16th Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge that starts in just 8 days time. Its been a very busy few weeks and I'm hoping to finish all the prep before that date, but might not make it.
As for my plans.....
I'm going to revisit a few old projects, some I already have figures prepped for from a few years ago, I plan to visit.
Vienna 1683 - Donnybrook and no I've still not had a game yet?
The Retreat from Moscow - errr I've not had a game with these either.....
With the release of the newest set of Beneath the Lily Banners, I've planned 2 new 15mm armies, I'm hoping to get some of these figures painted too.
Vienna 1683 - Yeh I know, I've already got it in 25mm, but I want it in 15mm too, I can't help it.....its just too shiny.
I'm not happy starting one new project, so I'm gonna start two.....well why the hell not?
Once again I'm joining forces with Reject BigLee, he's doing one side and I'm doing the other, we've both been cleaning and undercoating like mad men, more info on that a bit later. But here's a sneaky pic to get you guessing??
We've the final game of the year in the shed this Sunday, so look out oft a French Revolutionary War batrep soon!!!

Hope the last battle of the year is awesome. Merry Christmas, Ray!
ReplyDeleteIt was!
DeleteProject and plan. Two fun things to do. Sounds , marvelous.
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteIf it all comes off, my plans always get sidetracked by other cunning plans.....like these ones!
DeleteEnjoy the last shed game of the year, Ray! Looking forward to seeing the results of Richard’s FRW efforts.
ReplyDeleteIndeed!
DeleteGood to see that you have everything so well planned, Ray.
ReplyDeleteLOL!
DeleteLooking forward to seeing how your plans unfold during the AHP Challenge
ReplyDeleteMe too Neil!
DeleteVienna 1683 nice, lots of colourful troops, be good to see how this develops. Lots of posts please Ray.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I'll be doing just that Andy.
DeleteSensible prep going on and not a sandbag in sight! I haven't prepped anything specific for the AHPC but I have got lots primed, although looking at the theme rounds might send me down into a rabbit hole or two!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Sandbags might be on there way a bit later???
DeleteYou seem to be well prepared for the challenge Ray and be interesting seeing your new projects take shape.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to it Donnie!
DeleteLooking far to seeing your output for AHPC, Ray, always an interesting period of the year. I suspect many of us have the same collections in different scales, I have WW2 in 15 20 and 28mm! I have seriously considered replicating a couple of my collections in 10mm.....but have resisted the madness so far!
ReplyDeleteWe're all crazy Keith, its all just too shiny!!
DeleteGood luck Ray. I had a mild panic when I saw the words ‘8 days time’ …… how did we get here so soon! :-).
ReplyDeleteI have primed the few lead figures involved and the plastics are all glued together and I will brush prime them as and when needed.
I'm glad you've joined in this time round Norm, its great fun.
DeleteSounds great!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michal.
DeleteI'm looking forward to seeing your Vienna project come together Ray. A great period to game.
ReplyDeleteMe too Lawrence!!
DeleteLooking forward to another Ray/Lee combo project - looks like a return to Russia in a different era?
ReplyDeleteSee you at the Challenge! :-)
You could well be right Paul, we like a bit of snow.
DeleteLooking forward to it Ray!
ReplyDeleteMe too Chris!
DeleteI got the new BLB too Ray. I'm wondering which 2 new 15mm Armies you are doing for it?
ReplyDeleteNot from the new book I'm afraid OB, its back to Vienna in 1683 for me in 15mm this time!
DeleteOh, good choice!
DeleteI read several folks talking about the Analogue challenge. Is there a link somewhere to that where I can go and cheer on your efforts?
ReplyDeleteI know you've found the link now, Mike.
DeleteI would have liked the 1683 project in 6mm. Maybe too much if big unit were used ie 60-80 figs a base
ReplyDeleteHope you have a blast and Happy Christmas.
