A visit to Chichester p1....

SWMBO and myself spent a very pleasant few days down in Chichester the week before last, drinking great beer, eating great grub and visiting a few historical places. Obviously we had a few trips to all the shops, where SWMBO spent her hard earned dosh of another handbag!!

We spent an hour or so in Chichester Cathedral, here are a few pics.

Looks a bit like me?

The late Queen and Duke of Edinburgh

Just some of the names of the fallen.

For the vexillophiles amongst us...

I couldn't get a good pic of this, the sun was being a pain!

A tad older than me and most countries of the world c1125

Haitian Revolution/St Domingue Revolt - French 28th Foot.

I had to paint up another unit of troops for my Croix-du-Bouquets game the other weekend. There we're 2 regular infantry regiments that fought at the battle, the 9th formally Normandie and the 48th formally Artois.

For this game each regiment had 2 companies of 8 figures and some command.

All the figures are from Trent Miniatures

While the flag is from Flags of War. The Battle was in 1792 so I had to go with the 1792 pattern, which you don't see much, Richard is using the 1794 pattern for his figures.

I painted up an extra Commander as well, well his was undercoated, so I thought why not, he'll come in handy??

Wont he???

Broadside 2024 Loot

To be honest I didn't really get a good look around Broadside the other Sunday, I was far to busy trying to run our game and/or talk to fellow gamers,  but I did sneak off a few times to buy some goodies...

More fab trees from Debris of WarDebris of War, I'll probably buy a few every show we visit, I'll have a whole forest worth in 20 years time!

Also from Debris of War, a Medieval Grain StoreMedieval Grain Store. I did want to buy this at Salute back in April, but they'd run out of stock! So Tony put one aside for me to collect.

Hmm? Should I glue it in place?

There's no Bring & Buy at Broadside, but the were loads of Flea Market tables. These Front Rank horses were purchased on one such table for a few quid. You never know when you'll need a horse?

At another stall, one chap was selling a book collection, all the Rejects bought something from him,  I picked all these books and rules up for £1.50 each!

Probably don't need it but what the hell!

Interesting?

Another interesting?

More interesting??

My first Charles S Grant!

And some dice!

That's my show loot!!!
