AHPC11 - The Chamber of Challenge - The Hall of Heroes - Frederick the Great

The Hall of Heroes: A location for heroes and the heroic things they do.
My first wargaming period I ever painted was the Seven Years War

It was pre-Reject days and as a group we painted up armies for the Age of Reason Campaign .
They were all 15mm and I painted up the British and Russians, not the Prussians, they were painted up
by Reject Richard.

I bought and read countless books on the period. The main man and
Hero of the war has got to be Frederick the Great, he's call The Great for a reason!

The figure is from Front Rank and will earn me 10 points
plus 20 points for the bonus, making a total of
30 points

AHPC11 - Sarah the Sorceress - Dancing Gypsy

For my second entry today I'd like to call upon Sarah the Sorceress to transport me from the SnowLord's Treasury to The Hall of Heroes

Please???

Molly's a great dancer, she and her brother Francis (yeh him) earn pennies dancing at village fairs all over the country.
But most of their income comes late at night, when villagers sneak into her caravan to have their palm's read. Her mother used to say Molly had the gift and should use it for other means, but Molly just loves to dance.

You could call Molly a witch, but nobody, even Francis would say it to her face....

Molly and Francis are from Black Tree Designs, who do have lots of weird civilian types
that always seem to fit into the Challenge somewhere, so I have a collection of other bods who every now and then pop up.

Points are easy on this enrty

2 x 25mm figures @ 5pts each
20 point bonus round

30 point all in all!

AHPC - The Chamber of Challenge - The SnowLord's Treasurary - Smugglers

I'm getting close to the Level 4 and The Alter of the SnowLord. just wondering if I'll get there in time, to paint up whatever the Evil mind of Curt comes up with???

The Snow Lord’s Treasury: Your challenge in this Chamber is to paint a figure, unit or vignette featuring treasure of any kind. Go crazy with figures carrying gold, jewels, silver bullion, priceless artefacts, Elven-rings or strong-boxes with bundles of Confederate dollars!

I wasn't actually planning on painting anything up for this round, but routing through my upteen boxes of unloved figures I found the half a pack of Foundry figures.

The pack is their Civilian Smugglers from their 18th Century Civilian range.

Any loot the Smugglers managed to bring into any village or town could be described as treasure?
It certainly made them money anyway.

There was a little bit of conversion work, I chopped a tricorn and head off and replaced it with my preferred floppy hat for the chap holding the lantern. The head came from another Foundry figure, so anatomically it fitted perfectly.

Points mean prizes and these naughty boys with their loot should earn me...

5 points each for the figures
2 points each for the Treasure bases and another 20 for the Bonus
Making a grand total of 36.
