Warfare Wargames Show 2024 - A Rejects view

The Rejects had a brilliant day out at Warfare last Sunday, Thanks to all the guys who made the show a success, we'll be back again next year for sure!!!
Myself, Lee, Steve and Postie drove down in one car, Colin made his own way down, but we didn't meet up with him till 1 o'clock, we kept missing each others calls. I as usual spent a tad more than planned, more on that later. We met up with loads of friends, some who you will see below.

Anyway on with the pics!!

Steve looking very happy for himself in the queue

Not 5 minutes into entering the show, we met Mike and Bernt from Germany. Mike's blog Dreispitz, is here.

Wargames Association of Reading - Battle of Trafalgar 1805
1/700th Scale

The Two Wardy's  - One Day in August
15mm WW2

Malvern Old Wargamers - Italian Wars
28mm using Armati rules

Martin from Warbases and his nibs Postie.

Deal Wargames Society - Siamese Fireback down
Thailand 1980

Rob from Reiver Casting and me.

Reiver Castings/Ardhammer - Franco-Dutch Wars 1672-78
Using all Reiver castings figures.
What a fantastic looking game on an 18 foot table too!!!
And my game of the show!!

We bumped into David from The Ragged Soldier blog who is a a fellow Zoom gamer with Jon from Palouse Wargaming Journal

3 Rejects bought some bits and bobs from the great stand run by Ironclad Miniatures. The lady (sorry I don't know your name) really didn't want to be in the pic, do you think she's rubbing her hands together thinking of all the cash waiting to be handed over?

Abingdon Wargames Club - 3D Space Competion

Joe Bilton - The Barrikady Factory, Stalingrad
28mm What a Tanker

What a thing of beauty this game is, I had a quick chat with Joe, what a great guy. I love the bucket full of debris that is placed all over the terrain, making it look so busy. He bought a small hoover with him to clean up after the game!!

Shepway Gamers - Wot! 40k

Last year at Warfare Dave on the left came and said Hi, he did the same this time round and said he'd started a blog, so if you feel so inclined, drop over to his blog and join up.

My Oathe Sire - Medieval Partisipation Game

Grid Wargaming - The Great Raid

Steve Deeprose - The Battle of Alexandria 1801
28mm Napoleonic

The Ministry of Gentlemanly Warfare - In Her Majesty's Name

A Hundred Years War skirmish game

South London Warlords - Dark Side of the Moon

Boscombe Down & Amesbury Wargames - Operation Gaff - Get Rommel
28mm WWII

I had a great chat with Tim, who told me all about the game which was a real Commando raid, which was cancelled halfway through the operation, as Rommel was in hospital after being staffed by the RAF a few days before!!!
I asked about the cost of the massive 3 story house and was quite stunned that it only cost the guys £80!!

Prince Rupert's Regiment of Seal Knot - What a Corker

Tiger Miniatures - North West Frontier
British vs Pathans

Newbury & Reading - Saladin Strikes Twice
28mm Crusader Wars

The Society of Ancients - The Battle of Paraetacene 317BC
