Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge V

Well its that time of year once again, and I've stupidly put my name down to join in the fun and games over at Curt's Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge V.
I've put in a measly target of 300 points and I'll be VERY pleased if I reach it. Can't see it myself but you never know???
Luckily I've still got a few units under-coated from the end of the last Challenge, (yeh I know?) so I'm afraid I'm gonna bore you all to tears with more NYW units!!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!
And I'm also hoping to kickstart my Donnybrook collection......fingers crossed!!
With the figures I've got I'm not sure if I'll be able to enter into all of the Bonus rounds (see below) apart from the mount and rider of course!!

Anyway Good Luck to one and all of the 72 lunatics competing!!!!

Other scales, miscellaneous models/figures will be scored on a submission-by-submission basis.

The Fortnight Theme Bonus Rounds
Same as last year, we will have a series of 'Fortnight Theme Bonus Rounds'. Each 'Theme Bonus Round' asks Challengers to enter a submission that illustrates a particular theme. The Bonus Rounds are not mandatory, they are just a little bit of fun to pace out the the Challenge and allow people to gain decent number of points through vignettes and single figures.
Those Challengers who manage to submit an entry for a 'Fortnight Theme Bonus Round' will get an extra 50 points on top of the regular entry tally. No scales less than 15mm will be eligible for the Theme Bonus Rounds but they can be of a historical or fictional subject.
The Bonus Themes along with their submission deadlines are:

December 14: Cold
December 28: Mount(s) & Rider(s)
January 11: Victorian
January 25: Myth
February 8: Hot
February 22: Comedic
March 8: Anti-Hero
The theme submissions are to be sent in by 12:01 am (CST) on the specified date (Sundays for all).
For each bonus round I'll post a poll listing all the round's entries so visitors can vote for their favourite.

  6. Oh you'll manage Ray, no doubt there! Also you won't bore us with the NYW stuff because your posts are also a lot about unit and war history which make them interesting for everybody to read so keep 'em coming!

  8. You're lagging behind and living in the past. Stop resting on your laurels and get the paint brush busy. You want Fran to beat you?

  9. You'll be right mate. Three hundred points is nothing for you.Hopefully the quality of the barracking won't suffer though . . .

  10. I'm not razzing you this year Ray as I know you're life is busy. Three hundred points is a good goal and I think you'll exceed that. Not due to sandbagging but due to finding time and getting excited about the Challenge.

    Best of luck Ray!

  11. 300 Points ? This seems a very tawdry effort on your part, I'm left wondering what Fran will say about this, but good luck with your "challenge".
