I found a very interesting Viking Quiz online today at the Anglo-Saxon Archaeology blog. You have to answer 10 sometimes very difficult questions on all things Viking. You can then review your answers to see where you went wrong!! Each time you play the quiz you'll some different questions, so try and remember some of the details.
So fellow Viking lovers, your challenge, without cheating is to beat my score of 80%, I have to admit that was my third go, and I thought I was quite well read, I don't think so......

10/10 glorious death!
ReplyDelete10 out of 10 in second try, first try gave 7.
ReplyDeleteDecorative patterns on their teeth? I have some reading to do when I start doing some Vikings. One attempt only three hits
ReplyDeleteThought I knew a few things about Vikings as I'm a fan of them.....I was proved wrong and it took me 4 tries before I passed.
ReplyDeleteStill good fun and educational.

All right that test is damned hard. The bloody art history questions keep killing me. That and asking questions about specific towns in England or Scandinavia, I missed some of those too. The straight history, fine, no problem. Mythology, excellent, no worries. The other stuff keeps me just below a passing grade, every single bloody time.
ReplyDelete3/10 by Odinn's beard! And with my current vik obsession, I think I'm quite knowledgable!
ReplyDeleteIts enough to make me want to smash something with my Axe
I thought you'd all enjoy it, there are some damn hard questions!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm not nearly as smart as I think I am. :) 3/10 and I like Vikings. Great link.
ReplyDelete4 of 10. :(
ReplyDeleteWow, I was lousy. My best was 4/10 (which I got twice out of three tries). The only thing I did well on were mythology questions and a couple of history questions. For the rest I was clueless.
ReplyDeleteSo apparently I know nothing of Vikings besides what I've seen in movies 3/10 of which I only actually knew 1 the others we lucky guesses :)
ReplyDeleteI propose that if you pass this the first time you are focusing on the wrong aspects for wargaming!
ReplyDelete5/10 on first attempt... Should I be embarrassed that I don't know the name of the founder of the settlement on the Faroe Islands? Thanks for the link!
ReplyDelete4/10. Some interesting questions there. Shows I know nothing.
ReplyDelete6/10
ReplyDeleteBut of those I only actually "knew" 3/10, the others I guessed!
Zombie Quiz - Yes, Viking Quiz - Fail :)
ReplyDeletejust wanted to wish you a happy 4th! :)
ReplyDeletei live near a town founded by vikings :)

ReplyDeleteI got 4/10, but it said good try, and if clicked I might be admitted to the University of Oxford. But then I didn't click, but came back here.
ReplyDeleteI was crap!! Only got 3 right!!
ReplyDelete7/10 thats a C average. Good post.
ReplyDeleteI was going to ace this test...but then it said no cheating, what fun is that???
ReplyDelete20% my arse.
ReplyDelete50& with Ray's fucking help, arse.
ReplyDelete5/10. Not too unhappy with that, considering I was racking my brain for place names, and French kings have never been my strong point!
