Posties Rejects

For a couple of months I've been trying to make some kind of badge for our club "Posties Rejects". I've experimented with all different styles and shapes from heraldry and coats of arms to Postman Pat pictures!! With a little internet help, I finally came up with this design, plain and simple, much like the members of the Rejects really,  not counting me of course, (mainly Fran).
How does it look??

  2. It looks great and especially suitable for a rubber stamp.

Near the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland in front of the City Hall there is a giant red rubber stamp laying out in the yard, maybe 50 or 100 feet tall, but I forgot what it said.

  3. Easily recognizable and so I think it works well.

  6. That looks good Ray. If I may be so bold I have a few comments and questions. I think the overall design is quite good, but to me the positioning of the curves looks off. I know how hard it can be to get them to line up. If you were going for a 3D effect I think making it a stamp defeats that. I think the ink bleed effect is good, but I would go with more of a solid noise effect for the stamp imperfections rather than scratches. Here is a link for a technique that I like to use: http://www.squaregear.net/gimptips/stmp.shtml Anyway just some thoughts on some tweaks, I did a lot of this sort of thing a ways back but in the words of William Hung "I have no formal training."

  8. Thanks for all your comments chaps!!!
We wanted some kind of ID for the group, we may even make up T-shirts for next years Salute, and yes Lee you can have a badge if you want!

  10. I love the fact that it looks like a post mark; I wonder how it would look if one arm of the X was a little longer and broke the circle?

  11. Love it!

You could also have "rejected reject" hat and whoever makes the most stupid comment gets to wear it until the next lucky winner! If we had that in the Man Cave it would swap heads about every 2 minutes :-)

  13. "we may even make up T-shirts for next years Salute"... You'll have trouble finding T-Shirts suitable for our combined tonnage.... may I recommend 'Marquees-r-Us'?

  16. Between Bart and Lee with the combined tonnage, maybe XXXL would be the way to go???
