Your timing was good - I heard that the Elefant has to go back to the US by the end of the year.. just love those Italian AFV's... and as for the tankette they must have had balls of steel to go to war in one of them, kudos indeed.. :o)
ReplyDeleteDidn't know that about the Elefant? I was really surprised at just how small some of the tanks were?
DeleteLike the Carro Veloce L3/33 and the T17E1 Staghound. And who can go wrong with a Sherman?
ReplyDeleteIndeed!
DeleteSo not all the tanks then
ReplyDeleteNope......
DeleteGreat couple of posts, Ray. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteNo worries, glad you liked them.
DeleteWorth the wait (which was not long at all) Just as good as part 1. Bravo sir excellent stuff.
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine what the kids and wife will make you attend in compensation! Whatever revenge they may want I am sure you ate up to the challenge.
Of course I am Clint. Glad you liked the posts too.
DeleteThanks a lot for the visit ! :-)
ReplyDeleteWe went here 30 years ago... and always say "We must go again !"... We will do !
Its a great place to visit that's for sure.
DeleteNice post, great photos and well done for persuading the rest of the family to go!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
I don't think the girls have recovered yet.
DeleteGreat pictures mate. Its lucky you got to see the Elephant as its going back to the US Army Ordnance Training & Heritage Center (Fort Lee, VA) at the end of the year.
ReplyDeleteIndeedy!
DeleteMore nice images of a great collection, Ray. Interestingly, when I visited the museum in Mar 2013, I couldn't find the Tiger I and Panther. Again, having only spent a few hours, I might've missed where it was placed. I did see the two Tiger II's, Jadgpanther and JadgTiger though.
ReplyDeleteWe'll have to take a Reject trip down there me thinks????
DeleteYou are so going to pay!
ReplyDeleteOh yus!
DeleteGreat to see they've finished the Tiger - it was in bits whenI saw it!
ReplyDeleteReally?
DeleteGreen with envy ! this one on the bucket list :-)
ReplyDeleteIts a no brainer Sgt!
DeleteGreat pics again Ray :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you like them Simon.
DeleteTiger I my favorite!!
