The Analogue Hobbies Challenge may have finished, but my and Lee's Retreat from Moscow project definitely hasn't!
So onwards we go and the first thing to roll off my post Challenge paint desk, is this beauty! I really wanted this to be part of my final post of the Challenge, but it just wasn't to be. So next best is, first up post Challenge.

The sledge is from Perry Miniatures and will surly play a big part in our games.

I'm not sure it's how it's supposed to be modelled but I purposely glued Napoleon's head bowed slightly. It's almost like he's sulking.

I did have a little trouble gluing the sledge together as there were no real instructions and at the end I had a few bits left over from the kit?
Oh well.....?

But saying that, what a luvvly bit of kit it is.

Like my previous 23rd/24th Chasseurs a Cheval sledge, I had Martin and the Warbases crew make me up some special sized bases.
Thanks chaps!

There's plenty more to come, as I bought way more than I actually needed........
So look out for more posts from me and Lee.
Vive L'Empereur !
ReplyDeleteGreat work!
Thanks Michal!
DeleteHa! Ha! Should have used reindeer Ray. But, please, don't use him in the game. We don't want him to suffer the indignity of being captured. Or worse.
ReplyDeleteNo, that wouldn't do at all, would it?
DeleteYou can't have bought more than you needed , you just counted incorrectly in planning. Lovely work. The extra pieces must be spares.
ReplyDeleteI like your idea better than mine, Joe.
DeleteNice job! Of course he's sulking. Wouldn't you if you were the size of a Hobbit?
ReplyDeleteLOL.
DeleteWell Ray still going strong - I enjoyed your AHPC15 sparring and the whole figure thing was great to see and still see.
ReplyDeleteGlad you approve!
DeleteTerrific vignette, Ray!
ReplyDeleteCheers Jon.
DeleteThat is a super little model Ray and makes a great vignette, you have done a top job on it, really good.
ReplyDeleteThanks Donnie. He should be very useful in games.
DeleteI really like this one. Lots of storytelling throughout the sculpt/scene.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great model for sure.
DeleteBeautiful work Ray. I have a few of these myself and will come back to have a look at these again when I finally get around to tackling them.
ReplyDeleteCone on Lawrence, gotta scratch that itch sooner rather than later?
DeleteFantastic piece Ray, - what a miserable state of affairs they got themselves in on this campaign!
ReplyDeleteThey really did!
DeleteNice work Ray 👍
ReplyDeleteCheers Matt.
DeleteTerrific work Ray!
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill.
DeleteAbsolutly superb Ray, a gorgeous and atmospheric sledge!
ReplyDeleteNo problem Phil. Glad you like him.
DeleteAwesome looking, museum-quality piece, Ray!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very fine addition. It's sadly typical of the Perry's that there are no instructions included.
ReplyDeleteThis was a "hope it's supposed to go there", type of thing.
DeleteLovely miniature, the head tilt adds a nice touch of emotion to the model.
ReplyDeleteYeh, I thought it worked well.
DeleteExcellent work Ray - my mate Mark has this kit in his collection too (of course, why wouldn't you?!) Really looking forward to seeing Lee and you getting a "Retreat" scenario on the table.
ReplyDeleteMe too Keith, thanks!
DeleteEmperor looks nice and cosy in there
ReplyDeleteNot too happy though?
