Rosemary and her pals arrived in the post yesterday from blogger pal Ian. Just encase you missed it, I won them in his blog comp a couple of weeks ago???? Fran didn't win and has bitched at the first opportunity each time I've either seen or spoken to him!!! Now Ian very kindly has also included a few brushes for His Royal Highness François in the same envelope as mine and wants proof that I handed them over, so I'll take a pic of the git with his new brushes when we meet up on Sunday for SELWG.
And speaking of SELWG, there'll be 4 Rejects going myself, Fran, Postie and BigLee, so if your going and see us say hello!!! Or if you see Fran, give him a kick in the shins instead!
So who else is going???
RE: Brushes for Fran
ReplyDeleteThat was a very sporting gesture by Ian!
It was indeed!
DeleteIndeed, what a decent chap!
DeleteJust wait till he gets the feckers ;-)
DeleteIan
Nice score, Ray. I always wait too the last minute (or past) to replace brushes.Happy painting, Dean
ReplyDeleteI was pretty lucky!!
DeleteCongratulations! Just don't stab Fran with any of those, no matter how tempting.
ReplyDeleteAnd you just don't know how tempting it is!!
DeleteNice from Ian. Sadly I don't think I'll be able to go to SELWG.
ReplyDeleteCheers
That's a shame Seb, I thought you'd be able to make it now your a Londoner??
DeleteYes, but I also have a family life :-(
DeleteHello, nice blog. Yep I will be there
ReplyDeleteHello General, thanks for stopping by!
DeleteGood luck on the photo-shopping of that particular picture.
ReplyDeleteDo you think he'll manage a smile??
DeleteHi, I'll be there with a big ancients game (Thapsus), do please drop by and say hello!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Simon
I'll come and say hello Simon.
DeleteAdditional brushes just for Fran! Thats a a very nice guesture on the part of Ian, but I'm afraid that all it'll do is encouraging Fran to moan and bitch all the more in future!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to Sunday, I always enjoy SELWG and as always I have a long shopping list of items to purchase.
He doesn't really need that much encouragement, does he???
DeleteHa Ha So tempted to post that picture G - G - G Granville!
ReplyDeleteG - G - G - G Go on then!
DeleteCongratulations, Ray! ... reminds me of how worn my own brushes are...
ReplyDeleteI've not had any of these Rosemary brushes, Ian says they're the best!
DeleteOh well, then keep us updated if Ian is right!
DeleteCongrats.. I guess.. for the brushes :) Enjoy SELWG... hopefully I will be in UK soon to join in such events in the future! :)
ReplyDeleteI shall endevour to enjoy the show!
DeleteThat was lovely of Ian to send along some extra for Fran.
ReplyDeleteYou guys have fun on Sunday and take plenty of pics for us!
That's what constant whining gets ya, Anne, perhaps we should all moan when we don't win. But it'll be hard to beat poor ol' Fran, he is royalty you know!!
DeleteYou two fellas are such swell pals.
ReplyDeleteYep! Swell as swell can be!
DeleteI won't be there so please give Fran a swift kick in the shins from me. In a nice, friendly way of course.
ReplyDeleteThat's nice Matt....thanks!
DeleteWell said Matt, Only what you deserve Fran and you know it!
DeleteSorry Fran, I was thinking about a Laurel and Hardy short film called "You're Darn Tootin' (1928)". Its one of their funniest films which ends up with a entire street full of people engaging in a massive shin kicking orgy. Blinkin hilarious!
DeleteYou're getting a kick in the crackers!
ReplyDeleteSo? Your walking to SELWG then are you???
DeleteI should see you there (SELWG).
ReplyDeleteExtra brushes are always welcome. A very nice gesture indeed. I won't be kicking Fran anywhere! Have you seen the size of him scary looking too! It's a good job he's a gent!
....and you are too sir!
DeleteGood grief!!
DeleteNice brushes; Ian is top notch.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the show.
I'll try Mike!
DeleteFree is the best price to pay. Nice win, Ray!
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more!
DeleteSeem like very good brushes and hopefully they'll lead to some nice results shown on the blog. Enjoy the SELWG!
ReplyDeleteI do hope so Sander.
DeleteNice brushes! I like the blue handles.
ReplyDeleteJohn
Cheers John!
DeleteExtra brushes for Fran? Hmmmm are you sure that it's wise to encourage his behavior that way? When my son was a wee lad and through a tantrum we always regretted giving in. Of course now he's 6'4" and 240lbs so giving in is more an act of self preservation rather than poor parenting.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried Rosemary brushes and will have to give them a go.
You jammy so and so! ;)
ReplyDeleteJolly decent of Ian to send Fran some as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to be there on Sunday, but as the rail service to Crystal Palace is out I'll need to get a bus from Brixton.
poor Fran, hope he wins something else :(
ReplyDeleteI'll look for you Gravesend shower in the bar as usual. :)
ReplyDeleteI'll be going. Happy to kick Fran in the shins but in the interests of fairness I'll have to give you a kick too :-D
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your quality brushes! Enjoy handing some more to Fran!
ReplyDeleteI just picked up a set of 4 Rosemary & Co brushes. I prefer the Series 401 Red Sable Mix brushes as I find they hold their point better. I also purchase the long handle version as I find it easier to use.
ReplyDeleteGreat brushes and fantastic service at a very reasonable price.
Tony
Congrats Ray! I really had my eye on those brushes too!!
ReplyDeleteNice brushes! I've never worked with a 10/0 before. I can only imagine the level of detail you can do with that.
ReplyDeleteHave a good time this weekend. It's a good idea to take the picture or he'll say he never got the brushes!
ReplyDeleteI'll be at SELWG with the usual suspects - so will see you there!
ReplyDeleteNo shin kicking. Bad, bad.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the win. I remember Fran wanted these.
