Well there were a few other games at Broadside this year, not just ours, so I
thought its about time I posted the pics!!
The Battle of Salado Creek, 1842 - Skirmish Wargames
Society of Ancients - Issus 333 BC
The Nipples, unfortunately they're male and belong to Martin.....yuk!
Pass the sickbag please!!!
Gravesend Wargames Club - AWI
Fran & Tamsin
ECW - Realistic Modelling Services
Me and Fran had a very interesting chat with Mike Reynolds from
East Grinstead Wargames - Crossfire
Mr Broadside himself, Alan Abbey
Shepway Wargames Club - The Town with no Name
Southend Wargames - Gunboats on the Nile
I had a good chat with Richard above, he explained this was not their planned game,
They had to dig this old gem up and resurrect it in an emergency!!
Eastbourne Men at Arms - Operation Husky Sicily 1943
Deal Wargames Club - Denmark 1940
This game won The Game of the Show award.
Clint and chums from Rainham Wargames Club - Blood, Bilge and Iron Balls
And finally Tamsin surprised me with her 2nd secret project..
She said it was me but I think it looks more like Fran!!!
Cheers
Tamsin!!!!
Absolutely wonderfull terrain and scenery!
ReplyDelete(I always seem to forget how tall Fran is, he looks like a giant in most pictures of him)
The miniature is great! But I think it is you...Fran has a beard...
Thanks Johnny!!!
DeleteGreat looking games!
ReplyDeleteDid you pose for the sculpture of the miniature Ray?:-)
Christopher
Yes.............I mean NO!
DeleteWonderful looking games! I'm disappointed about the nipples. At least it wasn't a pic of the poor fellow being depantsed.
ReplyDeletehe he and good god no!
DeleteNice post Ray. Fran seems to have lost some weight I note!
ReplyDeleteThe nipples reference was a little let down, but I am sure if I google nipples I will find some more.
Sweet!
I thought it might trick some of you!!
DeleteGreate pictures Ray !!!
ReplyDeleteThanks !
Best regards Michael
Lots of nice games! Clint's looks pretty sharp too!
ReplyDeleteSome really nice looking games there. Thanks for posting!
ReplyDeleteLooked like you had a fabulous day out. The Rejects did a wonderful job on your game - bravo to you all!
ReplyDeleteCheers Curt!
DeleteLots of wonderful battlefields here! Thanks for sharing these great pics!
ReplyDeletePhil.
Some cracking photographs and a few familiar faces to boot; the 'trophy' is just brilliant!
ReplyDeleteGreat report Ray! But regarding Martin's bare parts: remind me not to read your blog before breakfast... :-p
ReplyDeleteGreat Pictures. Thanks for showing.
ReplyDeleteThe model is great cool idea. I wonder what comes next..?
Thanks for including my game in the pics, Really not on a par with most of the terrain, I promise to do better next year. (I always have such grand plans and then change my mind before I get it finished)
ReplyDeleteI seem to have missed most of those games in my shopping frenzy. Oh well most games get more than one outing.... maybe I'll see them at SELWG.
Now Onto the you bit. Great to see you and the guys again and you know you had one of the best games of the day even if you can't get a prize every time. The figures looked good, the terrain looked good, and even the rejects looked for the most part sane! (I can't be too nice!) I look forward to seeing what you come up with next year.
Some great looking games, very impressive terrain. Hope your pressie has pride of place in Postie's shed.
ReplyDeleteRegards,
Matt
Great pictures Ray, somehow I managed to 'miss' the Salado Creek game by Skirmish Wargames from my pictures, and they were on the table next top us! Unforgivable!! Sorry fella's.
ReplyDeleteThanks Clint for the positive feedback...and the fudge! Yummy.
Still recovering from Sunday, my feet still hurt!
That table from Denmark 1940 really was spectacular. Nice terrain pieces and well laid out too. I'm glad you had a good day Ray and hope you are doing well.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos Ray. Some stunning games there. The nipples was a dirty trick though!!!!!
ReplyDeletehe he!
DeleteNice pictures, Ray. Very nice game board layouts.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, Ray. Thank you a lot for this report!
ReplyDeleteGreate pictures Ray !!!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics and looks like a high standard of games on show indeed
ReplyDeleteGreat selection of photos there (except for one)… thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhich one?
DeleteExcellent looking games - great photography - even the one that maybe should've been censored? Best, Dean
ReplyDeleteBLIMEY! There is some good looking games there, thanks for sharing Ray.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Pat.
Great looking day out, some good looking games there. Nice.
ReplyDeleteso many lovely settings!
ReplyDeleteReally love the boards, if that's what you call 'em. I never thought I'd like how water looks so much!
ReplyDeleteSpectacular photos Ray. That looks like a great convention!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing - great pics!
ReplyDeleteThat last picture is fantastic. Tamsin did a great job. Glad you had a fun time.
ReplyDeleteAnother click for nipples, but it's all right, at least you've got those girls from the magazine on there, which is my next destination. I think if there is an artwork, which the artist says is you, then it is you.
ReplyDeleteBut there is some good news, I did finally get new glasses fourteen months after you had suggested it, which means that I took your advice, although at the time I had convinced myself that it was my idea, I see from my comments that it was your idea before that.
Damn glasses!! But what would we do without them?
DeleteWhy thank you Andrew, it was more the giant belly than the ginger beard.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fun post. And what a great gift. The nipples though, I could do without.
