So as you may have guessed I've joined both Secret Santa jollies this year, I've noticed on a few blogs some wishlists, so I thought I'd put a few ideas down myself.
Most things on my list are for my Donnybrook excursion with a little bit of 15mm thrown in for good measure!! The list is in no particular order..........
2 Personality packs from Warfare Miniatures
WLOA21 William of Orange and Patrick Sarsfield
WLOA23 William of Orange vignetteLink |
---|
More from Warfare Miniatures
WLOA925 Siege equipment A frame gun gin
Yet again more from Warfare
WLOA10 Dismounted Dragoons in hat
Dixon Miniatures Grand alliance Rebels Codes GA12, 13 & 14 all with Farm Implements
Essex Miniatures pack - BRO71 European Armies: Musketeers in Long Coat & Wide Brim Hat,
without Apostles: At ease, musket at 45 degrees
OR
If you don't fancy any of that lot, any 25mm Civilians from the period 1650 to 1750ish or 15mm or 25mm wagons!!
Thanks Mr Santa!
Don't listen to him Santa. What he really needs is a 28mm Goblin from Red Box Games. It's in the price range AND it looks just like him http://red-box-games.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=17&products_id=131
ReplyDeleteAnne - you're almost as evil as me. Remember these posts?

Muwahahahaha! :)
Ya, I remember those. That's what brought this to mind. Can you imagine how hard it must be for the Missus to roll over in the morning and actually see that lying in bed next to her?
DeleteCheeky Moo's!
DeleteDid you just call those ladies, Moo's! What's a Moo's? Because it's a bad word, here.
DeleteMoo's as in Moo Cow's!
DeleteWell did the Secret Santa arrive on time? I had no way to track it - Not too mention the overseas postage was a killer - Next year I think I will simply go through a UK distributor as much as I enjoyed painting up what is in the envelope. I got in the general vicinity of the 1750s. Although I think the Headless horseman from Alternative armies would have made you a neat Hessian officer. We have a stateside TV program called Sleepy Hollow short version Ichabod Crane is a Rev soldier tied to the Headless Horseman through a spell his witch of a wife cast and they have all emerged in 21st century Sleepy Hollow still fighting (demons and such included) Well maybe next year. Happy Christmas and all that.
DeleteYep, my package arrived safe and sound, although I've not opened it yet. I'm sure that series is on over here in the UK, but I've not seen it. Did yours arrive?
DeleteUh no have not seen it yet - But have not been to my PO BOX for about two weeks will check it tomorrow while i am out doing errands. Glad to know the package arrived - Was not sure what you wanted so i "guessed"- Fraid I missed your posts on suggestions maybe next year.
DeleteHey Monsieur Ray your BOX has arrived and such a BIG BOX it was and here I was trying to keep shipping cost down on my end (you must have an in with your local ROYAL Mail in the UK) Because its one of the few things under my tree that I did not buy for myself I am waiting 3 days later til my Birthday on the 28th or maybe the day before for my Birthday Convention on the 27th in case its something immediately usable for the games I am hosting. Regardless what it is It was quite fun getting a Mystery gift in the mail. I hope you enjoy yours as much! Regards Monsieur General L'Coup
DeleteDon't get too excited about the size of the box, I just wanted what's inside to stay in one piece. Hope you like it!
DeleteI did it was a FANTASTIC PAINT JOB -- How were the three wise men for you? I was amazed at the price for shipping to the UK about the same but the differential in package size was amazing. I might commission you for my Hessian Sleepy Hollow figure in the British redcoated headless horseman complete with pumpkin! At least I can have unpainted one shipped to in the UK LOL
DeleteI did try and order the Sleepy Hollow figure for you, but the postage was ridiculous, considering they are also in the UK, £5 for 1 25mm figure!!! I'l paint him up for you if you send me him, no probs and the 3 wise men were great thanks.

ReplyDeleteOk Ray you like a certain type/period of figure which does make this list very restricted. But I hope you get what you want.
DeleteMe too Clint!
DeleteSorry to burst your bubble but Santa isn't real dude!
ReplyDeleteHa but your wrong, for the lucky few Santa is real indeed. Nice list, I guess I should get round to doing mine
DeleteIan
Santa is real Bob!!!!!
DeleteRay - I hope you get something you like from whoever your Secret Santa is :)
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed!
DeleteBring the man a horse, Santa!
ReplyDeleteYou mean I could've had a Bugatti years ago if I'd just posted a list? Damn.
As long as it was a toy one, yes!
DeleteI suppose it all depends if you've been a good boy this year Ray - as we all know Santa won't be impressed if you haven't. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's it I'm stuffed then!
DeleteI'm really digging that frame gun gin. Cool stuff. Hope Santa sees your list!
ReplyDeleteIt'd make a nice bit of scenery and an excellent objective marker!!
DeleteBugger! Just got you something from Anne Summers. Wonder if they'll take it back -- hardly used . . . .
ReplyDeleteI'll still take 'em???
DeleteErm, maybe a silly question but what exactly is the Secret Santa thingie and how does one join?
