Most of Posties Rejects (Me, Fran, Postie, Ian, BigLee, Richard and posse and Clint) made the long drive up the A2 to Crystal Palace for SELWG today. I for one enjoyed the show, although it did seem to have fewer traders and visitors than normal. There also looked to be a few demo games missing??
I did spend some of my hard earned dosh on the collection of bits and bobs above and below, they have already been sent to my big lead pile, I'm hoping to get a lick of paint on them one day????
They're a bit of a motley collection, all for my Donnybrook shenanigans, if I ever get the project rolling again that is! I bought the Last of the Mohican blister from Warlord Games, mainly for the lovely ladies enclosed. Pack MA29 from Perry's newish Crusader range Muslim Civvies, Thanks to r.a.e. gingerbhoy for sending me their way!!! Two bits of scenery to hide behind from Col Bill's, Ainsty Castings barrels and the collection of single figures are from Parkfield Miniatures I bought 1 each from there Kentish and Cornish Smuggler range, most will be used a civvies for Donnybrook!!
Lastly £20 worth of Palm trees from Products for Wargamers. I may have to buy a few more me thinks???
Wonder who was supposed to be there?
Pics of the show will follow soon......
Sweet pickin's, Ray.
ReplyDeleteCheers Jay!!!
DeleteHope you can get to the Last of the Mohican figures soon. I'd like to see them painted.
ReplyDeleteI'll try my best Alex!
DeleteNice haul dude! Looking forward to pics of show.
ReplyDeleteHopefully they'll be up later this week Bob.
DeleteA good but modest haul and the piccture you show does seem to be bare of punters as well as the missing games
ReplyDeleteThe pic was taken at around 1pm, and it does look a little sparce!!
DeleteNice loot! Sounds like a good day trip for the group.
ReplyDeleteAnother show, Ray? You DO have one just about every week.
We're very lucky Jonathan, living where we do!!! Not sure the Mrs would agree though???
DeleteAnother show...More minis!
ReplyDeleteI know, he he he!
DeleteNice swag! I have to admit all those traders selling terrain are very tempting!
ReplyDeleteI could, just like most gamers have spent thousands!!!
DeleteI agree, not the busiest of shows this year it did feel a bit lacking in traders and games. I think you need to get some painting started the lead pile is growing! Nice to see you all again. Always a pleasure and did your car survive the journey this time?
ReplyDeleteMy back will never be the same!
DeleteLets just the ride home was eventful, the exhaust is luckily still attached!!
DeleteNice haul Ray!
ReplyDeleteCheers Jonas
DeleteThat's a relatively modest haul of loots for you Ray.
ReplyDeleteFor your Kentish smugglers, I hope one of them is this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Syn
Sounds an interesting character, I'll have to look out for the books!!!
DeleteMore lead for the mountain! ...and I bet you smuggled in home via Posties so the trouble-and-strife didn't see it?!?
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I'm not that stupid!!!
DeleteI nice haul Ray and I do indeed see a few empty tables and quite some space between people. Since I don't like crowds I probably would have liked that.:-)
ReplyDeleteChristopher
Must admit, it was quite nice walking around and not being smacked with some idiots rucksack full of lead!!!
DeleteNice looking palms Ray. More pics please.
ReplyDeleteComment verification?? Whhhh-aaat!!!
Pics to follow!! Captcha's gonna have to be up fora while I'm afraid, I keep getting inundated with spam comments, it's driving me round the twist!!!!!!
DeleteLooks like you have done well Ray!
ReplyDeleteIndeed Rodger!!!
DeleteI found this as well - If you scroll past the fantasy stuff, there's a few arabic civilians from Eureka Miniatures (available from Fighting15s in the UK), although they are more of a caricature than Perry realism.

Thanks Roy, they may well be a future wallet emptier!!
DeleteA modest but perfectly formed haul, looking forward to seeing the shots of the games Ray.
ReplyDeleteCheers Sir M!!
DeleteIt seems like you had a good time, Ray. Nice haul of goodies.
ReplyDeleteIt was a great day out Bryan, thanks!
DeleteYou did well to keep it to that. It always wise to hide purchases of lead from the trouble-and-strife... or blame it on the kids.
ReplyDeleteWives can be very dangerous after a Wargames show, best hide everything and claim innocence!!
DeleteLooks like a great day Ray!
ReplyDeleteIt was a fun day!
DeleteGood old haul there ray and that should keep you busy for a couple of days, lol. Actually thanks for the link to Parkfield Minis as they are so nice resistance figure that could make there way to VBCW
ReplyDeleteThe way I'm going they'll keep me busy until Xmas!!
DeleteLooks like a successful day so far...
ReplyDeleteCertainly was Mike!!
DeleteTim is headed to a gamer's con this weekend. Dosh, out the window ...
