I didn't spend a great deal at Patizan?
Ponds from Warbases,as well as mdf bases, 2 packs of 18th century ship's crew from Col Bill
I thought I'd give Speedpaints a go?
and 2 pots of white primer.
Various boxes and crates from Coritani
Close up on the Ship's crew
Native canoe's and a chicken shed and kennel with a few barrels thrown in for good measure from Iron Gate Scenary.
Well worth the visit!
This is an impressive haul, Ray!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jon!
DeleteA very nice wee haul there Ray, I do like the look of the ponds, very tempting!!
ReplyDeleteYeh, they looked pretty cool and were only £10.
DeleteSome impressive loot
ReplyDeleteCheers Neil.
DeleteThat's a fair haul, Ray! I've tried the Speedpaints - they don't really suit my painting, but luckily I only bought the small set, so not much money wasted. :)
ReplyDeleteI watched a few videos, they look like they should work well, but I'll see how they go. I do plan to use them on small scale figures, so fingers crossed?
DeleteNice purchases Ray. They should keep you busy for a while.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they will.
Deletelove the ponds, I've got some
ReplyDeleteThey do look pretty useful.
DeleteHope the paints work out, I am a convert although I use Contrast. You must have had two fivers.
ReplyDeleteMe too? I had 3 fivers George!
DeleteYou are just all set to create some masterpieces.
ReplyDeleteMayhem Alex not masterpieces, mayhem!
DeleteI will be interested to see how the speed painting works for you Ray. The guy I bought the two mdf ships off (see my latest post) showed me some of his paintwork via photos on his phone. One was done with speed paints and took him four minutes! It looked perfectly OK, too! Your other loot all looks good ....the ships crew almost got me last night when I was checking out Col Bills website!
ReplyDeleteYour comments keep going in my spam folder for some reason Keith? I've watched a few video's on them and they seem to work really well. I'll be using them on some small scale figures, but will experiment with them. I'll do a post on what I think of them.
DeleteNice looking treasures sir!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michal.
DeleteNice loot mate. Let me know how you get on with the speedpaints. I've tried a small selection of the contrast paints and I'm eagerly waiting for the Vallejo version, express paints, at some point in the future.
ReplyDeleteWill do ol chap!
DeleteDoes the missus know about this haul?
ReplyDeleteInterested to read your review on the paints.
Don't be daft Ricardo!
DeleteHope the chicken give you eggs lOL
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteYou never know Dez?
DeletePromising haul Ray, love the crates and the depot batalion figures...
ReplyDeleteThanks Phil.
DeleteGood stash Ray
ReplyDeleteCheers Dave!
DeleteVery moderate on the purchasing front, I'll be interested to know how the speedpaints work!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
I'll let you know as soon as I have a go, Iain.
