This was posted on the Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge blig over a week ago. The Challenge has now finished.
How is there only 1 week to go, until the end of the Challenge??? I still got loads to paint up!
Surprise surprise, here we have another yet another unit for my and Lee's Retreat from Moscow project, this weeks entry is another mixed French and Allied unit of 8 figures from all over Europe including Portugal and Germany.
The two front right figures are Wurttembergers while the chap in the back row left is from the Portuguese Legion.
The chap sitting down has the very distinctive Grenadier hat, with the black comb going from side to side rather than the usual back to front.
These chaps will add another 40 points to my total taking me up to 1142 points!!
Another brilliant looking unit for a brilliant project. Will you be having a rest now Ray?
ReplyDeleteNope! Still got a box of figures to get though and now we both need to get onto the terrain!!
DeleteI've been doing terrain. It's never over!
DeleteIt has been a fabulous project Ray, I would of liked to have completed some more Napoleonic for the challenge but got carried away with ww2
ReplyDeleteAnd why not too. Loved your Belgians!
DeleteFantastic work Ray, really like the mixed unit idea
ReplyDeleteCheers Neil.
DeleteExcellent Ray. The chap in blue is a bit like an alternative Father Christmas.
ReplyDeleteLol. It was very tempting to paint him red!
DeleteI thought the same!
DeleteSome mean-looking dudes. Well done on the points!
ReplyDeleteCheers Alex.
DeleteNice work Ray, a very different looking unit with all the various units on show.
ReplyDeleteThey look smart, but take a long time to paint up.
DeleteI love the back of the coats. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteThanks Whisk.
DeleteBeautifully done Ray. They look like a suitably ragged bunch.
ReplyDeleteCheers Lawrence, I enjoyed painting these but they were a pain.
DeleteI like the mish-mash make up of units like this. Really shows the desperation and cling to survival of the moment.
ReplyDeleteThey do look the part, bur take a long time to paint up.
