Postie, Lee and myself all visited Tonbridge on Sunday for our annual trip to
Cavalier Wargame Show.
Don't know if was me but numbers did look down on last years show? And there seemed to be less traders and games? We all had dosh to spend at the Art of War stand but poor Glen had a flat tyre, so he was a no show!
Soon as we walked in we bumped into Al, Bob and Dave Crook!
I also met and spoke to fellow bloggers Lee, Mick Sayce and Lee Gramson

ReplyDeleteSorry if the numbers were down, but at least you ran into friends.
Its always great to meet up with old friends for a chat, you're totally right Alex.
DeleteNice pics of the games. But going to a show when you should be playing a game of Donnybrook... :)
ReplyDeletehe he he!
DeleteGreat pics mate
ReplyDeleteThanks Carl.
DeleteYou have a knack for getting my balding pate in the shot!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm sorry its hard to miss!!!
DeleteThanks for the Pics Ray, looks like a nice show. I love that raised two track railway embankment, what a boss idea. The Mosquito Strike Norway game looks intriguing and the large ancients game looks like something I could stare at for ages, but oddly for me, it is the Biggles at the top of the World terrain that has me thinking about doing a rooms and corridors game - a bit Space Hulkish type of thing. Anyway, all good, thanks.
ReplyDeleteThere were some great looking games Norm for sure. Glad the game inspired you.
DeleteThanks, Ray: convention reports are always fun to see. It strikes me that the game layouts had a very "clean" look to them (in a good way).
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you liked what you saw Ed.
DeleteWide variety of great looking games; particularly like the Aztec game.
ReplyDeleteIt did look good didn't it?
DeleteGreat! Thanks for the report, Ray.
ReplyDeleteNo problem, glad you enjoyed it.

DeleteLots of great looking games, thanks for sharing Ray.
ReplyDeleteNo problem Sir M!
DeleteGreat report Ray. I've seen a few reports saying the numbers were down which is a shame as it's a great little show. Having said that, I didn't go this year so perhaps I'm part of the problem!
ReplyDeleteBad boy Alastair, I do think shows like Cavalier are in danger, unfortunately computers and online ordering are killing them.
DeleteNice collection of games there. That Mosquito Strike Norway looked very interesting.
ReplyDeleteIts a great looking game for sure.
DeleteHi Ray- Thank you for your most comprehensive report on the Cavalier Show. Most enjoyable. Cheers. KEV.
ReplyDeleteNo problem Kev, I'm glad you enjoyed the post.
