The Other Partizan 2023 Part 1

Four Rejects took the long trip up country to visit The Other Partizan last Sunday.

It was a long drive, made better by a stop off, for a rather tasty breakfast, cheers Postie!

Here we are in the queue, Me, Steve, Dave and Postie

We arrived in great time and was very near the front of the queue.

Barry Hilton/League of Augsburg - Rolling Thunder

Barry was showcasing his new set of rules Rolling Thunder, which are a take on his Mad For War rules, but use smaller ships, based on large bases in their squadrons.

I played a small part in the game near the end of the day and enjoyed every minute.
I did have a pop at Barry though, the Rejects have just spent out on his Ark Royal ships and now he's gone even smaller. I can feel the hole in my wallet getting bigger and bigger and bigger.......

The game was Day 1 of the Four Days Battle in 1666.

The ships are all from Tumbling Dice, but Barry will be releases his own range very very soon!!

Bumped into Aly Morrison in the queue for a cuppa. Congrats on your 40 years at Games workshop!!

  3. Great write up. NB Northamptonshire Battlefields Society isn't a Trust. Just to be clear we aren't claiming to be a type of organisation we aren't!

  6. A lot of great looking game photos, Ray, but I am especially interested in seeing a naval game using squadron-sized tokens.

  16. Thanks Ray, brilliant pics as always! I missed so many games, didn't see half the ones you showed, especially in the first half or so of this post, I think probably 'cos I turned right at the entrance and missed the 'participation zone' to the left, until much later when they were all packing up. I would have liked to see Barry Hilton's naval game, especially! I think you were right to get up so early, it's a big show and it needs all day. Maybe next time!
