Back in September I asked you all for comments on how to paint up the Danish foot regt Prince George, I'm very pleased most of you agreed with me in saying, how I damn well liked!!!
It may well be wrong, they most probably wore the grey coat cuffed orange, bot I just couln't resist painting them in green, so painted they are, and pardon me for saying I think they looks pretty cool, (blowing own trumpet).
I'm not 100% happy with the photo's, every one I took made the figures look shiny, this is why its taken me so long to get them up on the blog, in the end I gave up and put these ones up.
Once again they're from Essex minis and bases are from Warbases.
If you like the flags you can download them for free, here!
And I've still not recovered from Sundays game yet either!!!!!!!!!
Slow breaths....Slow breaths..........

Very nice unit, Ray. I like a lot the green coats; I´m also painting my own Prince George´s in 28mm and I selected, also, the green coat.

The green is definately the way to go. And I love those flags. And it's no wonder you're still recovering from the game what with Prince Fran flaming hair rubbing it in :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome looking unit Ray! These look the biz.
ReplyDeleteThe green suits them Ray, lovely unit.
ReplyDeleteWell, there is another solution to the dilemma.
ReplyDeleteSince the regiments named for the territories did wear those colours, and liked it, (although not so much the princely regiments), you could sometimes simply say it is so, when in the presence of pedants.
It's very easy for littler kids to make a transition like that, in a second, and that would be satisfactory to the pedants, except the one named for an assassin, who would require another flag or something too, not that he's got any anyway.
Beautiful unit !
ReplyDeleteBTW, figures always look more shiny on the photos, than in reality. I also have this problem, in spite of using two layers of matt varnish.
