AHPC 13 - Almansa 1707 English Killigrew's Brigade

There were French and Spanish Dragoons in the last post, for this one its more Dragoons, but this time we've swapped sides.

This small English Brigade was led by General Killigrew, the brigade fought in the 1st line of the Left Wing under General Tyrawley.

In this all red brigade were the 2 squadrons of Pearce's Dragoons, 2 squadrons of Peterbough's Dragoons and 1 squadron of Killigrew's Dragoons.

All the flags are speculative and made by my own fair hand and are from my NYW collection.

Points......2.5 points per base
making a total of 12.5 points
and 1/2 point for the Brigadier
Making a total of 13 points.

  1. Nice to see some Brits at last Ray although if its WSS pre 1707, they could actually be English rather than British - I would have to check the date of the battle v the date of the Act of Union :)

    1. These are defo English, the Act of Union took place 5 days after the battle, I guess they wouldn't have known anything about it for a couple of months after?

  4. Super job Ray. Have you cut cavalry blocks? Each rank looks like a block and a half.

    1. I have indeed, 2 bases looked like a column. 4 bases didn’t quite fit. So I snipped a base in half, so there's 18 figures in a Dragoon squadron.

  5. Another super addition Ray, really like the labeling of the bases and I like the over sized flags, they really do add a lot to the bases of troops.
