AHPC11 - Warfare Miniatures Ottoman - Tufeckci

More Ottomans from Warfare Miniatures for my Donnybrook collection.
And these DO finish my initial infantry force,

Ottoman Infantry force

Unit of Elite Janissaries armed with flintlock muskets 4 models
Unit of Drilled Tufeckci musketeers armed with matchlock muskets 8 models
Unit of Recruit Segban musketeers armed with matchlock muskets 12 models
Unit of Recruit Irregulars - Anatolian or Balkan armed with improvised hand weapons 12 models

These are my Tufeckci unit, 8 figures strong. Again it seems they were not uniformed apart from their red hats. But there's a great picture in an Osprey of them all in red, so I just had to go with that.

Tufeckci actually means Rifleman or Gunsmith in Turkish. The Tufeckci were well trained and disaplined troops.

There are 8 figures in the unit making them worth 40 points!

  2. For such a small unit great looking and; you've still managed to get some variation in their uniform to make them a little more irregular looking.
    I must admit I did a double-take when I saw their title !
